Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags as an International Trade Exchange Event

Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags is an international trade fair for footwear, bags, belts, leather products and women’s and men’s accessories with various age ranges from children to adults. In this 99th edition, 1,300 producers from 42 countries were involved, with 43% filled by European companies and 57% coming from non-European countries. This shows that the participation rate has increased by around 30% compared to June 2022. Not to forget, Indonesia is also present to enliven this event by cooperating with 2 (two) companies, namely PT. Queen Pacific Suksesabadi (QPS) and PT. Horng Dar Footwear (HDF). In this Riva Shuh Expo, the total potential transactions that were successfully achieved by the two reached USD 845,581 with PT HDF of USD 100,000 and PT QPS of USD 745,581. In addition to these 2 (two) companies, there is 1 (one) Indonesian company that is participating independently, namely PT. Porto Indonesia Sejahtera by obtaining a potential transaction of USD 5,000,000.

Participants from Asia apart from Indonesia, namely from Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia, while for other Asian regions there were participation from India and China. There are more than 250 companies originating from China as well as from 42 other countries, including debuts from Switzerland, Japan, Nepal, the Czech Republic and Mexico, making Riva Schuh in this edition a very important international exhibition for the footwear, bags, and accessories.

Most of the visitors to the 99th edition of the Riva Schuh exhibition came from Europe, reaching 80%, while 20% came from outside Europe. This edition of the exhibition saw a significant increase in buyers from Spain by +35%, and from Germany by +9%. On the other hand, there was a 7% decline in Italian buyers, offset by broad participation from other country buyers. In addition, participation was recorded at the Riva Schuh exhibition with a digital platform, which resulted in business meetings between around 10,000 industry professionals.

The interest of international buyers has made this trade show a venue for trade exchange in Europe which has been recognized by major world manufacturers as the ideal platform for footwear, leather products and accessories. In this way, both companies and buyers get the opportunity to identify trends, plan orders in advance, get new international clients, and be aware of shifts in international markets so as to increase their business.
