Yesterday, on August 17, 2017, exactly on the 72nd anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence, the Embassy of Rome held a flag ceremony to celebrate the most important event in Indonesian history. The ceremony was attended by various government officials (including Trade Attaché, Sumber Sinabutar, Agriculture Attaché, Yusral Tahir, and ITPC Milan’s Director, Agung Pramudya F.R) and Indonesian community in Italy.
Leading the ceremony was our H.E. Ambassador (for Italy, Malta, Cyprus and San Marino plus also FAO, IFAD, WFP, UNIDROIT), Esty Andayani. The event started at 9:30 in the morning and was also helped by the youth who had the task to raise Indonesian national flag during the ceremony.
Not concluded yet, after the ceremony, all government officials and Indonesian community had hospitality gathering at the embassy. The official dress-code was Indonesian traditional clothes such as Kebaya and Batik for the women and complete suit for the men.
